Launched by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Dr. BR Ambedkar Post Matric SC Scholarship is where the SC scholarship certificate is given to the beneficiaries. According to the chief minister of the state, the scheduled caste student will get a free high education. The Department of Backward Classes and Welfare of Scheduled Castes of Government of Punjab shall offer the Dr. BR Ambedkar Post Matric SC Scholarship Scheme Online Registration to OBC and SC students who are residing in Punjab state. The primary motive of such a scheme is to offer financial help to the scheduled caste students who shall be studying at the post matriculation or post-secondary stage and thus allow them to finish their education.

How to renew the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship

• Visit the Official Website of Dr. BR Ambedkar Post Matric SC Scholarship Scheme i.e., www.scholarships.punjab.gov.in. and click on ‘New Registration. 

• Enter your credentials that must have been shared with you 

• You can then see the section of Renewal Application’ tab for the current year on which you need to click  

• Enter all the personal details and use a new User ID and password that were generated 

• You will then be able to use the credentials to access the portal and fill up the application form

• You can even see the application form that is displayed where the applicant can enter information such as last years’ merit score, attendance details, etc.

• Update the details if required and upload all the required documents

Dr. BR Ambedkar Post Matric SC Scholarship Scheme Eligibility Criteria

• The annual family income of OBC students should not exceed INR 1,00,000

• Applicants should belong to SC, OBC, and should be an Indian National.

• Applicants should be enrolled in a post-matric course from a recognized institution.

• Candidates pursuing distance learning can apply.

• The annual family income of SC students should not exceed INR 2,50,000.

• The candidates should have passed Class10

• Applicants pursuing postgraduate Medical courses should not be practicing during the period of the course.

• The student applying for this scheme should not be getting a scholarship/ stipend from any other sources.
