Overview

Employment will be provided to the unemployed young individuals of India under Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana. Under this scheme, one member of a family will be given a government job. One family one job scheme will be given to the young person whose family does not have any member of the government post. This scheme has been started only in the state of Sikkim. India's government is planning to start this scheme in other states of the country as well. Thus, no plan has been launched by the Central Government yet. 

Through this scheme, many unemployed youths in the country will get employment, and less than one family one job scheme. Only one member of the EWS category and LIG category families will be given a government job. Under this scheme, the young member of EWS category families whose annual income is not more than 3 lakh, and the youth of LIG category families whose yearly salary is between 3 lakh to 6 lakh. Women will also be included in Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana 2020.

Many young individuals in the country who are despite being well-educated are unable to get employment in the country. This scheme is for those young individuals and provides them financial assistance by giving stable jobs. Through the project the youth will be self-dependant.  The unemployed individuals of the country are given an opportunity of employment. Implementation in Sikkim

This scheme is regulated first in the state of Sikkim. The Chief Minister of Sikkim has planned to employ 15,000 unemployed youth. Under the Sikkim Job Scheme, twelve thousand young individuals have been selected in various government and semi-government departments. The remaining people will also get benefits under this scheme. Under this scheme, the government has given jobs to people belonging from Group C and Group D for the next five years. However, the applicant must be between 18 and 55 years of age to apply for the scheme. The applicants will have to register themselves to use for the project.

Features of the Scheme

  • If a family has a pucca house in the name of any family member, then no member of that family can take advantage of this scheme.
  • The benefit of this scheme can be availed by the people whose annual family income is less than Rs 3 lakh.
  • The person getting the job under this scheme should be a citizen of India.
  • Youth of low-income families will be given jobs under the scheme.
  • No member of the applicant's family should have a government job. If any family member of the applicant has a government job, they cannot benefit from this scheme.

  • After selecting the candidate, he will get a salary according to the government pay scale every month.
  • The individual will be selected in a probation period of two years. After the probation time is done, the candidate will be given a permanent post if his or her conduct is excellent.
  • Candidates will be given other benefits as per government allowances.

Now Central government is also planning to launch Ek Parivar Ek Naukri Yojana as Sikkim government's One Family One Job Scheme.

Under the scheme, it is also being revealed that every youth will be employed for five years. The government will engage these beneficiaries under the recruitment of Group C and Group D under this ambitious One Family One Job Scheme. Families whose income ranges from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 6 lakh will be provided. But so far no such announcement has been made by the Central Government.
