Haryana Kanyadan Yojana 

Haryana kanyadan yojana scheme was launched on 26th June 2020 by the scheduled caste and backward classes department society, Haryana government. 

This scheme provides financial assistance differing from Rs.11,000 to Rs.51,000 to all the girls who belong to an economically unstable household.

Girls from a backward caste, scheduled tribe caste, minority range, orphanage category, or who is a daughter of a widow or the widow herself can get the benefit of the scheme. 

Earlier the budget for the Haryana kanyadan yojana scheme was Rs.41,000 but fortunately, it heightened recently to the amount of Rs.51,000.

The objective of the Haryana Kanyadan Yojana Scheme 

The main objective of the Haryana Kanyadan Yojana scheme is to provide a monetary benefit to the families who are below the poverty line or are categorized in scheduled caste or backward community so that they don't worry about the marriage expenses of their daughter. 

Often in poor families, the marriage part becomes a tough phase of their life due to its high expenses, and this is the reason why the government came up with this scheme.

In this way, there is shield protection for the daughter from distressed families. 

Benefits under the scheme of Haryana Kanyadan Yojana 

Under this scheme, there's the upliftment of weaker sections of the society by providing them financial assistance.

The scheme is also helping in women empowerment as the yojana includes considering remarriage of divorced women, considers giving financial assistance to widows, women from orphanages, and all the households who belong to the distressed family.

Eligibility criteria for the enrollment in Haryana Kanyadan Yojana Scheme 

All the families who are below the poverty line are eligible to get themselves enrolled in the scheme. 

Families who belong to the scheduled caste, backward class, minority class, or scheduled tribes are eligible for the scheme. 

A girl who belongs in an orphanage can also get the perks of the Haryana Kanyadan yojana scheme. 

The legal age for the marriage should be eighteen years above for women and twenty-one years above for men. 

From one family, two girls can get the benefit of the scheme. If there's a third girl that she would be exempted from availing it. 

In the case of a widow and a divorced woman, they are very eligible to get the enrollment in Haryana Kanyadan Yojana Scheme for their marriage or remarriage financial help. 

The applicant should be a permanent resident of Haryana to avail of the benefit of the scheme. 

The annual income of the applicant should be below Rs. One lakh per annum to clarify the below the poverty line categorization. 

Documents required at the time of filling application form of the Haryana Kanyadan Yojana Scheme. 

The applicant should get a list of documents attached to the application form of the Haryana Kanyadan Yojana scheme.

First, they should have the document regarding their annual income which should be an authorized income certificate. 

Second, they should attach the birth certificate of both the bride and the groom. 

Third, they should not forget their aadhar card as this is the most crucial document amongst all. 

Fourth, they should provide a document stating their permanent address and citizenship of the state. 

They should also provide their telephone numbers to the department and the ration card should be submitted too. 

The documents regarding the bank details should be handed in carefully. A bank passbook document would work for providing all the required details. 

Recent passport size photographs should be attached. 

If there's a divorced woman who wants to apply then in addition to all the above documents, she also has to submit the divorce certificate. 

Some of the additions made recently to the Haryana Kanyadan Yojana Scheme 

Dr. Banwari Lal, Minister for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare decided that under this scheme, they would also include disabling people for financial assistance. 

The disability should be forty percent above to get the benefit of the scheme with the authorized department.

If both, the husband and the wife are disabled then the assistance which would be provided would be Rs.51,000 and if one of them is disabled then the assistance of Rs.31,000 would be provided to them.  

The online registration process for the enrollment in the scheme of Haryana Kanyadan Yojana 

• Firstly make sure that you are connected to the internet then after that go to the official website of kanyadan yojana https://saralharyana.gov.in/. On the home page, you would see the form option, after clicking on that the form would get opened in front of you. 
• Then take a printout of the form and fill up all the details carefully like the address or the telephone number.
• After filling up all of the details carefully, take a picture of the form and submit it online on the website.
• After successful registration, you would get a login id and the password for it and you can log in with the help of that anytime you want to. 

Implementation of the Haryana Kanyadan Scheme and its financial installment's working 

The financial amount which has been supposed to be given to the distressed families is transitioned by several installments. 

The different amount is set for different economical families. 

1.The amount for widow's daughter's marriage 

The amount of Rs.51,000 is set for this category and this amount is transferred to them in two installments.

The first installment is for Rs.46,000 which would be given before the wedding or on the wedding day and the second installment of Rs.5,000 would be transitioned later but within the next six months of the wedding. 

2. The amount for windows, a divorced woman, the woman from the orphanage, and the woman who belongs from a family who is sectioned below the poverty line. 

The amount set for all the women who belong in the above categories is Rs.41,000 and this amount is given in two installments. The first installment is Rs.36,000 at the time of the marriage and the second installment is Rs.5,000 is deposited within six months of the marriage.

3. The amount for scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, and the backward classes

Families who have less than 2.5 acres of land under agriculture or the families whose annual income is less than Rs one lakh get financial assistance of Rs.11,000 under the scheme which is transferred to them in two installments.

The first installment is of Rs10,000 which is provided before the marriage or on the wedding day and the second installment of Rs.1,000 is provided within six months of the marriage. 

4. The amount for a differently-abled woman

The amount for differently-abled or handicapped is Rs.31,000 and this amount is transacted to them like an allowance.
