Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan Yojana) is a government scheme under which, all the small and marginal farmers will get up to Rs 6,000 per year as minimum income support. The scheme is of 75,000-crore and aims to cover 125 million farmers, irrespective of the size of land they acquire in India.

प्रधानमंत्री किसान सम्मान निधि योजना (पीएम-किसान योजना) एक सरकारी योजना है, जिसके तहत सभी छोटे और सीमांत किसानों को न्यूनतम आय सहायता के रूप में प्रति वर्ष 6,000 रुपये तक मिलेंगे। यह योजना 75,000 करोड़ रुपये की है और इसका उद्देश्य 1250 लाख किसानों को शामिल करना है, चाहे वे भारत में जितनी भी जमीनें हों। वे भारत में कितनी भी भूमि प्राप्त कर रहे हों।

When did the PM-Kisan scheme come into effect?

The PM Kisan Yojana was launched by prime minister Narendra Modi-led government. It came into effect from December 1, 2018.

प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व वाली सरकार द्वारा पीएम किसान योजना शुरू की गई थी। यह 1 दिसंबर, 2018 से लागू हुआ।

Objectives of PM - Kisan Yojana Scheme

The main objective of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana is mentioned below:

  • To support all the eligible landholding farmers financially.

  • To help farmers financially to ensure proper crop health and sufficient crop yields.

  • It is expected to cover 2 crores more farmers with an estimated budget of Rs 87217.50 crores fully funded by the Central Government for the year 2019-20.

प्रधानमंत्री किसान योजना का मुख्य उद्देश्य निम्नलिखित है:

  • सभी पात्र भूमिधारी किसानों का आर्थिक रूप से समर्थन करना।

  • उचित फसल स्वास्थ्य और पर्याप्त फसल पैदावार सुनिश्चित करने के लिए किसानों की आर्थिक मदद करना।

  • यह वर्ष 2019-20 के लिए केंद्र सरकार द्वारा पूरी तरह से वित्त पोषित 87217.50 करोड़ रुपये के अनुमानित बजट के साथ 2 करोड़ अधिक किसानों को कवर करने की उम्मीद है।

PM Kisan Yojana and Eligibility

Under the PM Kisan Yojana, the eligible farmer families are provided with an income support of Rs 6000 per annum in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each once every four months. According to the scheme, the family consists of husband, wife and minor children. The fund of Rs 2,000 is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers/farmer's family.

पीएम किसान योजना के तहत, पात्र किसान परिवारों को हर चार महीने में एक बार 2,000 रुपये की तीन समान किस्तों में 6000 रुपये प्रतिवर्ष की आय सहायता प्रदान की जाती है। योजना के अनुसार, परिवार में पति, पत्नी और नाबालिक बच्चे शामिल हैं। 2,000 रुपये की निधि सीधे किसानों / किसान के परिवार के बैंक खातों में स्थानांतरित किया जाता है।

Who is eligible for PM Kisan scheme?

  • Farmers’ families having cultivable land holding in their names can apply under this scheme.

  • Farmers from both the urban and rural areas

  • Small and marginal farmers’ families can also apply for this scheme.

How to register for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?

  • In order to register for the PM Kisan Yojana, the farmers have to approach the local revenue officer (patwari) or a nodal officer (nominated by the state government). You can even register on the official website of PM Kisan Yojana.

पीएम किसान सम्मान निधि योजना के लिए अपना नाम कैसे दर्ज करें?

पीएम किसान योजना के लिए रजिस्टर करें करने के लिए, किसानों को स्थानीय राजस्व अधिकारी (पटवारी) या एक प्रधान अधिकारी (राज्य सरकार द्वारा निमित) से संपर्क करना होगा। किसान पीएम किसान योजना की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट पर भी पंजीकरण कर सकते हैं।

They can even check their registration status and beneficiary details online through the website (as shown below) or via PM Kisan Mobile app.

How to check PM Kisan Samman Nidhi List?

Farmers who are waiting for the beneficiary list can now check the total number of beneficiaries  who will be receiving the installments under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. 

To check the list of beneficiaries, follow the steps mentioned below.

  1. Visit the PM Kisan official portal

  2. From the Home page, click on the ‘Farmers Corner’ tab (4th from right) on the top of the screen.

  3. On the Farmers Corner screen that shows up, click on the Beneficiary List option.

  4. You can view the state-wise summary report of installments.

  5. To view the details of a specific state, click on the respective state link.

  6. The details of installments for all the districts in the state would show up. From the list, you can check the total number of beneficiaries in a district and state as well.

How to check PM Kisan Samman Beneficiary status?

To check your beneficiary status, follow the steps described below.

  1. Visit the official website - http://www.pmkisan.gov.in

  2. On the home page, click on the ‘Farmers Corner’ tab (4th from right) on the top of the screen.

  3. Under the Farmers Corner icon, click on the Beneficiary Status sub icon.

  4. On clicking the Beneficiary Status icon, you will be redirected to Beneficiary Status screen.

  5. To check the installment status, choose an option from the available three options, Aadhar Number, Account Number or Mobile Number. For example, choose Aadhar Number.

  6. Next, enter your Aadhar Number in the  below text box and click on the blue Get Data button.

  7. Your PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Status would show up on the screen. 

How to check PM Kisan Self Registered/ CSC Farmer Online status?

Farmers who have self registered for PM Kisan Scheme can check their application status online through the steps mentioned below.

  1. Visit the official website - http://www.pmkisan.gov.in

  2. On the home page, click on the ‘Farmers Corner’ tab (4th from right) on the top of the screen.

  3. Under the Farmers Corner icon, click on the Status of Self Registered/ CSC Farmers sub icon.

  4. On clicking the Self Registered/ CSC Farmers icon, you will be redirected to Self Registered/ CSC Farmers screen.

  5. On the window that shows up, enter your Aadhar Number in the text box beside the Aadhar Number.

  6. After adding the Aadhar Number, add the image code as shown in the box beside the Enter image code text box.

  7. After adding the details, click on the blue Search button.

  8. If your application status is successful, it will show you the current status of your installment. If the application is pending, it will have the Application Pending Status.

How to check PM Kisan Beneficiary list on PM Kisan app? 

On Feb 24 , 2020, the government launched PM Kisan app to ease the farmers' workload and stress. With the app, farmers can check their status and  beneficiary list and other availed benefits anytime, anywhere.

To check the list and payment status on the app, follow the steps mentioned below.

  1. Download the PMKisan GoI mobile application from Playstore.

  2. After installing the app, open the app and click on Check Beneficiary Status icon to check your beneficiary status. 

  3. To check the Self Registered/ CSC Farmers status, click on the relevant icon and then add your Aadhar number and captcha to view the details.

  4. Similarly, by clicking on New Registration, farmers can register for the PM Kisan Nidhi Scheme.
