Prime Minister Matsya Sampada Scheme {प्रधानमंत्री मत्स्य संपदा योजना}

PM Matsya Sampada Scheme was launched by the Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman on 5th July 2019. This scheme was launched to increase the fish and aquatic products with the appropriate policy, marketing, and infrastructure support. This scheme was also known as Agro-Marine Processing and Development of Agro-Processing Clusters. Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana was approved by the CCEA in May 2017 for the period of 2016-20 coterminous with the 14th Finance Commission cycle.

  • The main motive of the scheme is to supplement or increase agriculture, modernize processing as well as decrease agricultural-waste, and to make use of the potential in the fishery sector.

As a proof of identity card applicant can submit a voter ID card or Aadhaar card at the time of online registration for the scheme. The identity is also mandatory to provide to get the claim for the person who is employed in the fishing sector.
  • The applicant has to submit bank account details to get financial support under the scheme. The amount will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary.
