The Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana was launched by our Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley on 28 February 2015. The person who will get a life insurance policy under this scheme, their family members, will be able to get Rs 2 lakh under insurance policy after their death. And that is not just the applicant under this scheme; the person only has to pay 330 rupees for premium per year. This plan is to get your life insurance. Under Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana 2019 you will pay Rs 330 to insurance policyholder per year. Under this scheme, you can pay the policy in any bank account you wish, but you can get this insurance policy only in one account.

  • The only person whose age is between the 18 to 50 years and has a Savings bank account can apply for the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.

The Registration Process for Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana

Using SMS

  • The person who is eligible for this scheme will be sent an SMS for activation.
  • You have to reply to 'PMJJBY Y' to activate.
