Overview

One of the government scholarships schemes that has gained tremendous response over some time is the Pragati Scholarship. This scholarship is implemented by the All-India Council for education.  In this scholarship scheme, there are a total of different 5000 scholarships which can be disbursed each year among those merit-based girl students who pursued the technical solution. Eligibility Criteria

• The girl candidate must be studying in the college or institution that has been approved by AICTE

• The person should be either in the 1st year or 2nd year of the technical diploma degree program of the AICTE approved college for which the addition is done in a centralized manner of the central government or the state government

• Per family, there can be two girls who shall be eligible to apply for the scholarship.

• The annual income of the family of the applicant should not be more than 8 lakh during the financial year that shall be processing. In case the applicant has already married the income of in-laws will be considered or the parents whomsoever is higher.

How to apply for the Pragati Scholarship

To help the applicant in the process to Pragati Scholarship Apply Online, the AICTE needs to allow them fill-up the form using the NSP portal. Some steps are expected to be followed.

• The applicant should register themselves on the portal of NSP https://scholarships.gov.in/ for which they have to click on the new registration button 

• There will then be guidelines that shall be given which needs to be filled up carefully and all the details must be completed before the final registration is done 

• Once the registration is successful, the applicant will get the password and the application Id on their respective mobile number

• It is now important for the candidates to use their credentials and then log in to the portal of NSP. They simply must use their application ID and password for the same.

• Once the applicant fills up the scholarship application form and rechecks it, then she needs to upload the copies that are scanned for the documents asked and then submit the form.

• Bank Pass Book in the name of the student indicating-

• Income Certificate for the preceding financial year in the prescribed

• Caste Certificate if belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and AADHAR Card

• IFSC code

• Admission letter issued by Directorate of Technical Education for the admission in Degree course.

There has already been a reservation category set for the ST, SC, and OBC category candidates. There is a recovered percentage for the total scholarship of such categories which is:

• OBC- 27%

• SC- 15%

• ST- 7.5%

How to fill up the Renewal Application Form

• If the candidates wish to renew the application form then some steps need to be followed in the right format. This includes:

• The candidates must upload their accurate details. For this, they can even upload them by using the credentials like registered User ID and password

• Once all the documents are uploaded by the candidates they shall be verified and hence it is expected that they are eligible

• The documents should not be uploaded in the JPF form but it is possible to upload them either in PDF format or PNG

• The documents should not be more than 2MB

How to Check Pragati Scholarship Merit List

The process to check and Search Scholarship Status is quite simple provided you follow the steps given below:

• You first must be on the official website where you can see the homepage.

• There will be a section on the home with an option called Scholarship Merit List option

• Click on the option and the merit list will open

• Now under this list, you will see details such as:

• Student Unique ID

• Father Name

• AICTE Institute ID

• Caste Category

• Student Name

• Course Name

• Institute Name

• Fill it up and your list can be seen on the screen.

• If you want you can download it and save it as well.

Will the scholarship be disbursed through College/Institute?

No. The Scholarship will only be disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer and to the student bank account. The student needs to have Saving Account in the bank
