Overview
The scheme, Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana was announced by the Chief Minister of Punjab. The main objective behind this scheme is to provide cashless treatment to all the Punjab state residents. Under this scheme, the cashless treatment will be provided to the state's needy families so that they can go to the hospital for their checkup and undergo surgeries without any financial worries. Under this scheme, yearly incentives are also provided by the state government.

COVID-19 Insurance
The Punjab government made an announcement related to the insurance for the frontline workers who are working during the COVID-19 Crises. This includes sanitation staff, Safai karamcharis, ward boys, doctors, specialists Asha workers, paramedics, technicians, nurses, and other health care, workers. The compensation under this plan will be the amount of Rs. 50 Lakh is given to the beneficiary in case of an accident. This scheme came into effect after 30 April 2020 and pertinent for 90 days.

Incentives Provided under Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana
Incentives that are presented to the needy families of Punjab state by the government explained below. Some of the finalized benefits for the low-income families of the state are given below:
- Under this plan, a cashless health insurance cover of Rs 5 Lakh per family provided per year, and with the help of this amount, the people can overcome their burden of financial worries.
- There are 1396 packages for Cashless secondary care and tertiary care treatment in public under this scheme and the impaneled private hospitals of Punjab and Chandigarh.
- 124 packages are reserved for Government Hospitals under this scheme.
- Under this plan, the person can get a treatment package of 3 days' pre-hospitalization and 15 days' post-hospitalization expenses.
- There are a lot of significant diseases that are covered under this scheme.
Types of Beneficiaries
There are many types of beneficiaries covered under the Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana launched by the Chief Minister of Punjab. The different categories of recipients under this scheme are mentioned below:
NFSA Ration Card
14.86 Lakh under SECC and 20.43 Lakh Smart Ration Card Holders.
Construction Workers
2.38 lakh construction workers are under construction welfare board.
Small Traders
0.46 lakh families are under the Excise and Taxation Department of Punjab.
J-Form Farmers
4.94 lakh J-Form holder farmers are under Punjab Mandi Board, Government of Punjab.
Small and Marginal Farmers
2.76 lakh Small and Marginal farmers are under Punjab Mandi Board, Government of Punjab.
Journalist
4700 Accredited and Yellow cardholder journalists are under PUNMEDIA, Government of Punjab.
Eligibility Criteria
The person must have to fulfill the common eligibility criteria to get the benefit of the scheme. The entire eligibility criteria for this scheme are given below:
- The applicant who wants to get benefits of this scheme must be a resident of Punjab state.
- The candidate must belong to the categories that are mentioned above.
- The person must belong to below the poverty line category to get the benefits.
- The candidate must hold a ration card.

Registration Process for Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana
There is no fixed registration process for the beneficiaries to get the benefits of this scheme. The selected list of the beneficiaries has been prepared by the concerned authority that is made based on the people who are below the poverty line and some of the ration cardholders as well as also as per the different categories of the beneficiary that is mentioned above.

- The second option is Search by Name.

6. Now click on the show status.

If you want to check the government hospitals list that is impanelled in the scheme, you must have to follow the simple steps that are given below:
1. At first, you have to visit the Official Website.
2. Now, go to the menu and click on the "Government" under "Hospitals" menu item as shown below.
3. On the new webpage, you have to choose:
- District
- Specialty
4. Now click on show hospitals.
5. The list of all the hospitals will be displayed on your screen.
How to Check the List of Private Hospitals?
To check the private hospitals' list that is impanelled under the scheme, you must have to follow the simple steps that are given below:
1. At first, you have to visit the AB-SSBY Official Website.
2. Now, go to the menu and click on the "Private" under "Hospitals" menu item as shown below.

4. The list of all the hospitals will be displayed on your screen.
