The Scooty Yojana Scheme was started in 2019 by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. This scheme is currently in the process only in Tamil Nadu state. TN Amma Scooter Scheme was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the 70th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s. The motive of the scheme was to help the women who are working in the country. This initiative is helpful for women to travel quickly as well as also be safe. The budget passed for this scheme to work successfully is approximately 25 crores and aims to help the 10000 working women in the country. With the help of this scheme, a working woman will get Rs. 25000 off on any scooty they wish to buy. The scheme is also known as the ‘Amma Scooty Yojana Scheme’. The scheme will help to motivate women to work as well as to be independent and to solve their entire problem by themselves.

Amma Scooty Yojana Scheme started by the government of Tamil Nadu to provide the scooty to the working women at the subsidized rated in the state. The inauguration of the Scooty Yojana was done by our PM Narendra Modi. So this scheme another name is Modi Scooty Yojana. The women who want to take benefit of this scheme have to fill an application form. This scheme's aim was to cover about 1 lakh working women of the state.

How much Amount of Subsidy in PM Scooty Yojana?

This scheme is to empower the working women as well as enabling them to buy their own two-wheeler for their needs and various purposes. The women who want to apply for the scheme have to fulfill all the eligibility criteria of the scheme. State Government of Tamil Nadu is Providing Rs 250000 or 50% subsidy to the beneficiary as per their choice of scooty. If the woman is disabled or has any other physical problem then she will get Rs 31,250. If any women want to take benefit of this scheme her family annual income must be less than Rs 2.5 Lakh.

There is some specification of the Amma Two Wheeler Scheme. The Beneficiary may choose any scooter as per their choice and any brand new motorized gearless and auto-geared vehicle but the engine capacity should be 125cc maximum. And the scooty opurchas4ed by the beneficiary must be registered under the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988.

Amount of Subsidy

Tamil Nadu Government is very helpful under this scheme as the state government is offering 50 percent or maximum subsidy Rs.25, 000 while a woman purchases any two-wheeler vehicle of her choice. This subsidy will be provided to the beneficiary after submitting the Modi Scooty Yojana Claim Form of subsidy.

Loan Facility

After providing the subsidy amount by the government the remaining amount will be paid by the beneficiary itself with the help of a bank or institutional loan or through her own money. If the beneficiary is taking Loan from the bank then the loan will be given on assured interest rates.

Beneficiary

Only the working women of the state are eligible to take the benefit of Modi Scooty Yojana 2019. This scheme is currently not applicable in any other state so women from other states cannot take benefit from this scheme.

Mode of Apply

The beneficiary is able to fill the application form under the Andhra Pradesh Two Wheeler Scheme through offline mode only. You can apply online also for this scheme.

Who is eligible for Scooty Yojana?

Women, who are currently working in any sector whether private or government or any other company, factory, or any group, can apply for this scheme. If a woman is traveling long distances everyday then she can take benefit of this scheme. All these women are coming under the Modi Scooty Scheme 2019. Only one woman from a family can take benefit from the scheme. The annual income of the family should not more than Rs. 250000.

Eligibility for Amma Scooter Scheme

• The age of the beneficiary should be between 18 to 40 years.
• The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs.2, 50,000/-.
• One woman from a family is eligible to avail of the benefits of this scheme.
• At least women have to study up to class 8th. (Passed/Failed).
• The beneficiary must have a Driving License.
• Latest photograph of the beneficiary.
• Community certificate of the applicant (in case of SC or ST category).
• Differently Able identity card that was issued by the competent officials.
• Women must register as workers in any Organized and Un-Organized sectors or company.
• Women employed in Shops and Establishments.

Education Qualification Required for Amma Scooty Yojana

If a woman wants to take benefit from this scheme she must have class 8th examination from a recognized board of education under the state. There is no matter wheatear you cleared the exams or not.

Who Can Apply for PM Modi Scooty Yojana?

Only the people of Tamil Nadu State are able to apply under the Scheme. This scheme is currently not applicable in any other state like r Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, or any other State or UTs.

Steps to Apply for Scooty Yojana

First Step

• The one who wants to apply for Modi Scooty Yojana, at first the applicant will have to go the official website.

• The candidate will need to download the application form. 

• The applicant has to download three different forms that are 

1. Scooter Application Form 
2. Field Verification Form 
3. Subsidy Claim Forms

• Now fill the application form and enter all the details carefully.
• After filling all the details submit the Amma Scooter Scheme application form at respective Block offices or Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

Second Step

Now when you will submit your application form for Amma Scooter Scheme to Block offices or Urban Local Bodies, they will do Field verification as well as see you are eligible for the benefits or not.

Third Step

After completion of the entire process successfully the Tamil Nadu Government will itself select you as the beneficiary of Modi Scooty Yojana.

Selection Procedure of Beneficiary

The beneficiary for the scooty Yojana scheme will be selected by Selection Committees headed Commissioner (Greater Chennai Corporation) in the case of Chennai city as well as the District Collectors for the other districts. The selection committees will be ensured the distribution of the subsidy impartiality between all local bodies.
