UP Smartphone Yojana, also known as Samajwadi Smartphone Yojana, is a new scheme that was announced by UP CM Akhilesh Yadav. Under this scheme, the government will provide free Smartphones to all eligible persons in UP. This scheme is already in progress as well as the online registration link is open. Under this scheme, the phone will be delivered to eligible candidates after UP assembly elections in 2017.

• The application for this phone is only valid for those students whose age is 18 or older on January 1, 2017.

• If you or any member from your family earns more than 50 thousand, then, you are not eligible to take the phone under this scheme. 

• The applicant who is applying under this scheme must have passed the class 10.

• Applicant must be living in Uttar Pradesh or any family member must be in government job. Then only you will be able to avail this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant who wants to get benefits from this scheme must have to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the scheme. Details about the eligibility criteria under this scheme are mentioned below:

• Any applicant who wants to take benefit of this scheme must be a citizen of Uttar Pradesh state.
• The age of the applicant must be 18+ years so that he or she has voting rights in UP. If you are under 18 years, then you are not eligible for this scheme.
• The applicant who has cleared class 10th and above 18 years age is only eligible for this scheme.
• The candidate who is not a student of any recognized school or institution in UP or in any other state (only if studying in other states) will not be eligible for this scheme.
• The applicants' annual family income must not exceed Rs. 2 Lac.

• The applicants must provide Uttar Pradesh residence proof,
• The applicant has to provide an age certificate for Proof of Age,
• Class 10 passed mark sheet as well as the passed certificate is mandatory,

Registration Process for UP Smartphone Yojana

The Registration process for the scheme will be started from the last week of the month of September 2016. The candidates will have to follow the registration process to get enrolled under this scheme. The applicants will have to apply online for this scheme as there is no offline system that will be provided under this scheme. 3. After clicking on it, an application form will appear on your computer screen. 

4. Now you will have to fill all the required details like name, Middle Name, Last Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Fathers Name, District, VLE code as well as Verification code.

5. After this, check the boxes of the assertion that your family’s annual income is less than 6 lakhs as well as you are not a government officer with grade 1 or 2.

6. After completing the entire process, click on the submit button and you will get registered under this scheme.
