Overview
- Indian Air Force had recently released the recruitment for Group X and Group Y, for which the online application was released from 22 January to 07 February 2021. The written exam for this post was to be held from 18th to 22nd April 2021, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus and now the exam has been re-conducted from 12th July to 18th July 2021. And now the result of this exam will be released.
- INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF) has announced the exam date for Airmen in Group “X” Trades (Except Education Instructor Trade) and Group “Y” Trades (Except Indian Air Force Security and Musician Trades) for Batch 01/2022. The exam date has been scheduled for 12th July to 18th July 2021 as per the announcement made on 24th June 2021. The admit card will be released soon on the official website.

Indian Air Force Group X & Y Exam Date & City

Marking pattern for online test:-
(i) One mark for every correct answer.
(ii) Nil (0) marks for unattempted questions.
(iii) 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Phase II: The candidates have to qualify in each exam to get selected candidates Phase 2 (Document Verification) and a separate admit card will be sent via registered email id. The candidates have to appear with the documents as listed in the notification pdf.

Air Force Group X Eligibility

1. Age Limit
The upper age limit of the candidate is 21 years. Candidates must be born between 16th January 2001 and 29th January 2004.
2. Educational Qualification
Must have passed Higher Secondary Level (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics & English as subjects, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English
OR
Must have passed 3 years Diploma Course in Engineering in any stream, with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
You should be 10th Pass plus National Apprenticeship (NAC) granted by NCVT or 10th Pass plus ITI from an Institution recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
3. Medical Standards
General Medical Standards for Group ‘X’ (Except Education Instructor Trade) is according to the Indian Air Force Standards.
Air Force Group Salary Details
- Pay & Allowances: During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month shall be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Military Service Pay (MSP), Group ‘X’ Pay {applicable for Group ‘X’ Trades only} and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be as follows:-
- Group ‘X’ Trades (Except Education Instructor Trade): Rs.33,100/- per month plus Dearness allowance (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.
