Employers have agreed to allow electronic returns to be uploaded.

How to Create a Challan on epfo sewa portal
Go to the epfo e sewa portal and log in https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/.
Choose the option ‘ECR Upload' under the ‘ECR' module to upload the created ECR. You should double-check that the ECR is for the relevant month and year.
If the text file was uploaded correctly, a summary page appears.
Enter the ‘Total EDLI Contribution,' ‘Total EPF Administrative/Inspection Charges,' and ‘Total EDLI Administrative/Inspection Charges' on this Summary sheet.
Also, make sure the ‘Contribution Rate' is correct. This amount is set to 12 percent by default, but you can modify it to 10 percent if that is more appropriate for your company. Send in the ECR.
A digitally signed PDF file will appear on the screen. If the file has more than 200 members, you will need to wait for an SMS alert before viewing or downloading it. You should compare the information in this PDF file to the information in the ECR text file you supplied.
You must approve the PDF file after the file's accuracy has been verified to produce the EPF Challan online. To do so, click the ‘Approve' option.
A Temporary Return Reference Number (TRRN) will be generated for the submitted file once the ECR file has been accepted. The Challan Receipt File and Acknowledgement Slip for this ECR are displayed on the next screen.
To download the Challan Receipt File, click on it.
Print the challan with the TRRN number and manually change the information in the "For establishment use only" section.
Make the payment to the State Bank of India, along with the challan, either through the SBI online portal or by submitting a cheque/demand draught to a designated branch of the bank.
