The KSRTC manages with a whole fleet of 17368 buses which includes KSRTC- 8348, NEKRTC- 4300, and NWKRTC-4720. The company transports 75.57 lakhs passengers on an average every day.

Eligibility Criteria 

Educational Qualification

The candidates must have passed 10th from any recognized board. For more information, check detailed notification. Plus, the candidates are required to have valid driving license. 

Age Limit

  • The minimum age limit for both driver and conductor posts are 24 years.
  • The maximum age limit for both driver and conductor posts are 35 Years.

Age Relaxation

  • The age relaxation for 2A/OBC/ 3A/ 2B/ and 3B Candidates: 3 Years
  • The age relaxation for ST/ SC Candidates: 5 Years

Other requirements

The other requirements for the vacant posts of both driver and conductor are written down below. The candidates both male and female are required to fulfill certain height and weight requirements. They will be selected on the following basis and after qualifying for the other parameters.

Minimum Height Required

  •  Male: 163 Cms 
  • Female: 153 Cms

Minimum Weight Required

  • Male: 55 Kgs

Selection Process

The selection process for the recruitment will be done in two steps. The candidates will be chosen on the merit basis. Thereafter they will have to appear the driving test. The candidates will be chosen on the basis of merit first then the final selection will be done on the basis of their driving skill.

  • Reverse S: 3 Minutes – 14 Marks
  • Reverse Parking: 1 Minute – 12 Marks
  • Up-gradient: No Time – 10 Marks

The candidates need to secure at least 50% in each of the driving test.
