Age Limit: 

• Principal – 35 to 50 years

• Vice Principal – 35 to 45 years

• Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – 35 years

• Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – 40 years

• Primary Teacher (PRT) – 30 years

• Librarian – 35 years

Academic Qualification:

• Principal – Master degree with 45% minimum marks and B.Ed or equivalent.

• Vice Principal – Master degree with 45% minimum marks and B.Ed or equivalent.

• Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – 4 years Integrated Course with 50% minimum marks from Regional College of Education of NCERT or Bachelor Degree with 50% minimum marks from a recognised university and B.Ed or equivalent.

• Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – 2 Years PG M.Sc course from Regional College of Education of NCERT or Master Degree with 50% minimum marks from a recognised university and B.Ed or equivalent

• Primary Teacher (PRT) – Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education or 2-year Diploma in Education or Graduation Degree with 50% minimum marks and Bachelor of Education. Have to pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).

• PRT (Music) – Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or equivalent and Bachelor Degree in Music or equivalent from a recognized University.

• Librarian – Bachelor Degree in library science or a 1-year diploma in library science.

Application Procedure

Candidates who want to apply for KVS recruitment should follow the following steps:

1. Visit the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, i.e. https://kvsangathan.nic.in/. The homepage will appear.

2. In the homepage, you will see an ‘Announcement’ section where you will see ‘KV TGT PGT PRT Recruitment’ link. Click on it.

3. Now, click on the apply link and start your registration process.

4. Enter the relevant details and click on submit. You will be registered.

5. Now, log in using the registration number and password and start filling the application form.

6. Fill the application form with relevant details such as personal details, contact details etc.

7. Upload a scanned photograph and signature along with other necessary documents in requisite format. 

8. Make the application fee payment and click on the final ‘submit’ button.

9. Don’t forget to take the printout of the application form and payment receipt for references in future. 

Selection Process

Candidates who will apply for KVs Recruitment have to clear these two steps for the final selection:

• Written examination – The first round is the written examination round. An All India Level examination will be conducted all across India. Those who clear this examination will be eligible for the next round, i.e., the personal interview.

• Interview – This is the second and final round. Your performance in the interview round will decide whether you will be selected or not for the post.
