Overview
Sand Booking in Telangana State has now become an easy job. Customers can now register, book orders, track orders, and perform other stuff related to sand management through a single click. Sand sale management & Monitoring System (SSMMS) is an online portal launched by the government of Telangana State for the monitoring and management of sand sales in the state. It was an initiative of Telangana state Minerals Development Corporation and the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Telangana State to make sand sale management effective in the state.
About sand sale management
- To facilitate the easy sale of sand at affordable prices to the proprietors and builders of projects, the government of Telangana has launched the SSMMS initiative. Sand is needed for construction purposes. One would think why does the government need to regulate the sale of sand? This is mainly because there is a dearth of authentic sand for the construction of projects under RERA registration. So much so, that many builders have started malpractices like creating fake sand. The structures created out of fake sand have caused many a building to collapse causing loss of life, as well as resources. This is one of the main reasons that the government needed to step in and regulate the sale of sand online.
- In addition to distributing reliable sand for construction, the initiative of SSMMSS also known as the Sand sale management and Monitoring System initiated by the TSMDC (Telangana State Minerals Development Corporation) aims to plug revenue leakages, enhance the income of the government. The Sand sale management initiative also aims to help anticipate prevent major damages to the rivers, streams, other waterways, and the environment in general.

Step 6: Give the details like the purpose of buying sand, the quantity of sand, Select Vehicle type,
Fill in the captcha and Click OK to proceed
Step 7: Once you have confirmed details and captcha, you will be redirected to the payment portal
Step 8: Select your mode of Payment and enter your internet banking credentials/ debit card details
Step 9: Make the payment and you will be given a receipt of payment in addition to the payment id and the order ID. keep it handy for future reference.
How to Track Your SSMMSS Sand Order?
After booking sand through the SSMMS portal, you can check the status of your order by following the steps below:
Step 1: Visit the order tracking page to track the order.
Step 2: Enter the order ID in the given box.
Step 3: Click on Get Status Status of your order will be displayed.

To get information about the stockyards available in your district you need to follow the instructions shared below-
Visit the SSMMS portal sand.telangana.gov.in.
Hit the “Helps” tab on the homepage.
Click on the “STOCKYARDS” option.
The stockyard detail list will appear.
Select the respective district and check the complete stockyard details.
This stockyard list carries information about the district, Mandal, stockyard names, contact person in each stockyard, their contact no., address, sand quality, available quantity, and price of the sand.

How to follow the TS Sand Vehicle Registration?
SSMMS also provides the service of vehicle registration. If you have a vehicle (Tractor/ Lorry) and you want it to be registered with the SSMMS portal for transportation of sand, you can also do so. The complete procedure for vehicle registration is as follows-
Visit sand.telangana.gov.in.
Hit the “Registrations” tab given on the homepage.
Click on the “Vehicle Registration” option.
The vehicle registration form will display.
Enter all the information asked viz. vehicle no., RC details, address, engine no., mobile no., etc. Click on the “register” button.
Finally, your application for vehicle registration will be submitted.
On successful registration, you will receive a registration no. You must keep the registration no. safe.
In case, you have uploaded an invalid or blur copy of RC you must upload it again. For that, you must click on the “Vehicle Registration Updation” option and have to search vehicle no. Upload a clear and valid copy of RC again. If it will be not clear, then the vehicle will be blocked permanently.
