SSA Recruitment 2020 (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan) {सर्व शिक्षा अभियान}

Overview

SSA has invited applications from eligible and interested candidates from all across India to fill in Graduate Teacher, Arts, Graduate Teacher, Science, and Graduate Teacher, Hindi. The application process started on 6 August 2020 and the last date to apply is 25 August 2020.

Vacancies

  • 35 vacancies are there for the post of a Graduate Teacher, Arts
  • 15 vacancies are there for the position of a Graduate Teacher, Science
  • 06 vacancies are there for the role of a Graduate Teacher, Hindi

Educational Qualifications

The candidate must have completed their 10th and 12th class from a recognized University/Institution in India. 

Graduate Teacher, Arts

  • The candidate must have a B.A/MA degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks either in Graduation or Post Graduation or equivalent.
  • The candidate must also possess a B.Ed degree from National Council for Teacher Education. However, degrees from off-campus and distance education institutions will not be valid, and TET (Secondary /Adarsha Vidyalaya/ CTET) qualified. 

Graduate Teacher, Science 

  • The candidate must have a B.Sc./M.Sc degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post Graduation or equivalent.
  • The candidate should also possess a B.Ed degree from National Council for Teacher Education. However, degrees from off-campus and distance education institutions will not be valid, and TET (Secondary /Adarsha Vidyalaya/ CTET) qualified. 

Graduate Teacher, Hindi

  • The candidate must have a Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi, along with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • The candidate must also possess a degree qualification with a minimum of 50% marks or a Postgraduate degree in Arts with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University or institution. However, any degree received from an off-campus or distance education institution will not be valid. 
  • Or, the candidate must have a B.A. degree with a minimum of 50% marks with Hindi as one of the main subjects or Post Graduation degree in Arts with a minimum of 50% marks with the condition that the candidate had Hindi as one of the issues in their B.A. along with a minimum of 50% marks in the subject.
  • The candidate must also possess a B.Ed degree from a recognized University or institution. For this Hindi subject, Parangat is to be treated as a B.Ed degree as well. However, any degree received from an off-campus or distance education institution will not be valid. 

 Age Limit

  • The minimum age of a candidate should be 18 years as on 1 January 2020
  • The maximum period of a candidate should be 38 years as on 1 January 2020

Upper age relaxations will be given to the candidates from S.C., S.T. (P), S.T. (H) & P.H. categories. 

Selection Procedure 

For the posts under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Recruitment 2020, the candidates are selected based on a written test. 

  • The percentage of B.A/B.Sc examination has a weightage of 100 marks(in case of Major/Hons. , the marks obtained by the candidates will be considered)
  • The percentage of marks in the H.S. final examination has a weightage of 100 characters.
  • The percentage of marks in the HSLC examination has a weightage of 100 characters.
  • The percentage of marks in B.T/B. Ed examination has a weightage of 100 marks
  • The percentage of marks in the TET examination has a weightage of 100 characters.
  • NCC certificate has a weightage of 10 marks. (10 characters are for the "C" certificate and five symbols are for the "B" certificate).
  • Participation in any recognized sports at a National level representation has a weightage of 10 marks.
  • Achievement in Fine Arts and cultural activities or any sports representation of the state at a National Level has a weightage of 10 marks.
  • Teaching experience has a maximum weightage of 30 marks. 2 marks will be given for every 1-year teaching experience in Higher Secondary School/High School, having enrollment more than 200 students.

Salary

  • For the post of a Graduate Teacher, Arts - the salary will be Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 49,000 (PB-ll) and the Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700 will be given
  • For the post of a Graduate Teacher, Science - the salary will be Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 49,000 (PB-ll) and the Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700 will be given

 Application Fees 

  • The application fees for the candidates of General/OBC categories will be Rs. 200/-
  • The application fees for the Female candidates will be Rs. 100/-
  • The application fees for the candidates of SC/ST categories will be Rs. 100/-
  • The mode of paying application fees is online. The payment can be made through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/E Challan.
