SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2020 - Exam Mode & Pattern

The SSC Stenographer Grade C and D exam comprises two tiers. The Tier 1 exam is the online MCQs test and Tier 2 is a skill set exam.

Tier 1 exam - Online MCQ test 

The online MCQ test comprises 200 questions with multiple choice answers. The question has a negative marking of 0.25 marks. It covers three sections, i.e. General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, English Language.

Tier 2 exam: Skill Set

The shortlisted candidates have a typing test in offline mode. In this exam, the candidate will be given a 10 minute dictation in hindi and english. In order to clear the exam, candidates need to type the dictation at a speed of 100 words per minute for Grade C post and 80 w.p.m for the post of Grade D stenographer. The transcription duration for hindi and english language is shown below.
