Selection Procedure

The candidates will have have to go through the following stages:

Examination Fee

  • The total fees for the candidates of General/ OBC / Economically weaker categories are Rs. 125/- which includes an examination fee of Rs. 100/- and an online processing fee of Rs. 25/- 
  • The total fees for the candidates of SC/ST categories are Rs. 65/- which includes an examination fee of Rs. 40/- and an online processing fee of Rs. 25/-
  • The total fees for the Differently Abled candidates are Rs. 25/- which includes an examination fee of Rs. 0/- and an online processing fee of Rs. 25/- 
  • The total fees for the candidates of Ex-servicemen candidates are Rs. 65/- which includes an examination fee of Rs. 40/- and an online processing fee of Rs. 25/- 
  • The fee for the Dependents of the Freedom Fighters or Women will be according to their original category. 

Eligibility Criteria 

The aspirant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or Institution or any equivalent qualification. Now, let us look at the post-wise qualifications.

Sub Registrar, Assistant Prosecuting Officer (Transport)    

The candidate must be a Law Graduate.

District Basic Shiksha Adhikari or Associate DIOS and Other equivalent administrative posts, District Administrative Office 

The candidate must have a Post Graduation Degree.

District Audit Officer (Revenue Audit)    

The candidate must be a Commerce Graduate.

Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade-I) or Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade-II)

The candidate must possess a Degree in Science along with Physics or Mechanical Engineering as one of his/her subjects.

Assistant conservator of Forest

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree along with at least one of the following subjects:

Range Forest Officer of Forest

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree along with two or more of the subjects, such as

Assistant Labour Commissioner

The candidate must possess a Degree in Arts along with Sociology or Economics as his/her subject or Commerce/Law.

District Programme Officer

The candidate must have a Degree in Sociology/Social Science/Home Science/Social Work.

Senior Lecturer, DIET

The candidate must have a Post Graduation Degree along with B.Ed.

District Probation Officer

The candidate must have a Postgraduate Degree in Psychology/Sociology/Social Work/any equivalent qualification

Or the candidate must have a Postgraduate Diploma in any Branch of Social Work from a recognized Institute of Social Work in India.

Designated Officer / Food Safety Officer

The candidate must have a Post Graduation Degree along with Chemistry as one of the subjects from a University made by the law in India or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the Government or the candidate must have at least one of stuff appointed for Direct Recruitment to the post of Food Safety Officer out of:

A bachelor’s degree in Food Technology/Dairy Technology/Biotechnology/Oil Technology/Agricultural Science/Veterinary Sciences/Biochemistry/Microbiology Or a Postgraduate Degree in Chemistry/Degree in Medicine from a recognized University, or equivalent given that no person who has any kind of financial interest in the manufacture, import/sale of any article of food will be selected to be a Food Safety Officer.

Statistical officer

The candidate must possess a Post Graduation Degree in Mathematics/Mathematical Statistics/Statistics/Agricultural Statistics from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Law in India.

Labour Enforcement Officer

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree along with Economics/Sociology/Commerce and a Postgraduate Diploma/Postgraduate Degree in and of the following:

Child Development Project Officer

The candidate must possess a Graduation Degree in Sociology/Social Work/Home Science/any equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.

Age Limit

The minimum age to be eligible to apply for any post under UPPSC recruitment 2020 is 21 years

The maximum age to be eligible to apply for any position under UPPSC recruitment 2020 is 40 years

Age Relaxations

OBC: The age relaxation is three years, and the maximum age limit is 43 years

SC: The age relaxation is five years, and the maximum age limit is 45 years

ST: The age relaxation is five years, and the maximum age limit is 45 years

PwD: The age relaxation is 15 years, and the maximum age limit is 55 years

Physical Qualifications

  • The male candidates will have to pass 25 Kms—test which will have to be completed in a time duration of 4 hours. 
  • The female candidates will have to pass a test of 14 Kms. Test which will have to be completed in time duration of 4 hours

Salary

The salary for the candidates selected under all the posts apart from ACF/RFO will be Rs. 9300 – 34800 and the Grade Pay will be Rs. 4600/- (apart from NaibTehsildar whose Grade Pay will be Rs. 4200/-)

For the candidates selected under the examination of Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services, the Salary, Grade Pay, and the Post will be:

Assistant Conservator of Forest 

The salary will be Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/- 

The Grade Pay will be Rs.5400/-

Group “B”, Gazetted Range Forest Officer Services Examination

The salary will be Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/-

The Grade Pay will be Rs.4800/-

Examination Pattern 

The examination has three stages. The candidates will have to qualify the prelims examination, then the mains examination, and then the shortlisted candidates will be called for the Interview. 

Preliminary Examination

  • The prelims examination takes place in an offline mode, and it consists of 2 question papers. 
  • The exam takes place in two different shifts, and the examination holds a total of 200 marks.
  • Each paper is held for a time duration of 2 hours. 
  • There are a total of 150 questions in the Paper-1 (General Studies I)
  • There are a total of 100 items in the Paper-2 (General Studies II)

Points To Be Noted:

The Paper-II of the Preliminary Examination is considered as the qualifying paper, and the minimum marks that the candidate needs to obtain are 33%

All the candidates must attempt both Papers I and Paper II of the Preliminary Examination

The candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained by them in the Preliminary Examination

Mains Examination

  • The mains examination a total of 8 papers out of which six are mandatory and two are optional.
  • Each piece is held for a time duration of 3 hours
  • The General Hindi paper consists of a total of 150 marks, and it is fit for a time duration of 3 hours
  • The Essay paper consists of a total of 150 characters, and it is held for a time duration of 3 hours
  • The General Studies- I paper consists of a total of 200 marks and is stored for a time duration of 3 hours
  • The General Studies- II paper consists of a total of 200 characters and is stored for a time duration of 3 hours
  • The General Studies- III paper consists of a total of 200 characters and is stored for a time duration of 3 hours
  • The General Studies- IV paper consists of a total of 200 characters and is held for a time duration of 3 hours
  • The Optional Subject- Paper I consists of a total of 200 marks and is stored for a time duration of 3 hours
  • The Optional Subject- Paper II consists of a total of 200 marks and is held for a time duration of 3 hours

Interview

The Interview holds a weightage of 100 marks. It is held in the form of a VIVA-VOCE.
