National Transgender portal

Transgender people can now apply for certificates and identification cards through a national portal initiated by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Transgender people would be able to upload an affidavit declaring their gender, which will serve as the basis for their identification certificates, which will be issued by district magistrates. They will also be able to register their complaints and contribute to the development of a collective database through the portal.

What is national transgender portal?

Another initiation for transgender people has been organised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Through this initiative, the Union Minister for Social Justice, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, has launched the National Portal for Transgender Persons.
