Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. NVS runs various co-educational colleges across India that are established in the 28 states and 7 union territories in India. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) is an entrance test conducted for admissions into class VI, IX and XI. The mode of filling the application form is online. JNVST is an offline exam (OMR based) conducted every year for the selection of the deserving candidate in these schools. The entrance examination is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on an annual basis for the selection of the candidates.

How to fill the NVS school admission application form?

The following are the steps a candidate needs to follow to fill the application form:- 

1. Visit the official website of NVS https://navodaya.gov.in/.

2. Click on the “admission” option in the menu.

3. Now click on “admission notifications.”

4. After that, select “Click here to register for class VI JNVST 2020-21.”

5. Now fill the required details carefully, and that details can be email ID, mobile number etc.

6. Once a candidate has successfully registered, the candidate has to fill the application form. 

7. Now fill all the required details like personal details, qualification details, and other information in the Form.

8. There is a prescribed format for the scanned copy of all the documents. Now upload that document.

9. Now click on the submit button.

10. Take a print out of the application form for future references.

NVS Admission Class 9th Online Form 2020

The following are the steps to apply for NVS admission class 9th online form 2020:-

1. Visit the official website of NVS that is https://navodaya.gov.in/.

2. Then go to the latest notification news section.

3. After that, click on the link for class IX admission registration portal.

4. Next click on the phase 1 registration link.

5. Now choose your district and state. This is mandatory information, so fill that correctly and click on the “submit.”

6. Now enter your name, date of birth and mobile number correctly. Enter the captcha code and then click on “submit.”

7. Now username and password will be sent to you on your mobile number for login.

8. After that, click on the “Registration Form - Phase II.”

9. Now fill the required information carefully.

10. After that, upload your signature and photograph prescribed format.

11. Now check your details and submit this application form.

12. Lastly, candidates can take a print out of the application form for future references.

The following is the exam pattern for class 11th:-

  • To get admission in class XI, there is no selection test conducted. Admission to class XI in JNVs is done through lateral entry. 
  • Based on marks obtained by the candidates in class X, the merit list is prepared and based on that; the candidates are selected.
