Overview

Those who have been eagerly waiting for the RRB NTPC results need to first understand more about the exam pattern of RRB. Well, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has come up with RRB NTPC CBT I (Stage I) Exam from December 28, 2020, to July 31, 2021. It will be conducted in six phases to hire 35,208 vacancies under the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). For the RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam result, the expected date shall be released by next month while the cut-off and the result for the RRB NTPC exam will be updated online.

RRB NTPC Minimum Qualifying Marks

The minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in different categories: UR-40%, EWS40%, OBC (Non creamy layer) -30%, SC-30%, ST-25%. RRB NTPC Sarkari's result will have such percentages of marks for eligibility. However, there would be 2% of the relaxation for the PwBD candidates.

  • For UR Category the Minimum Passing Marks are 40%

  • For OBC Category the Minimum Passing Marks are 30%

  • For SC Category the Minimum Passing Marks are 30%

RRB NTPC Result 2020: Procedure to calculate the scores

  • There is a process for calculating the scores. Once the RRB NTPC admit card Sarkari result is out, it can be helpful to understand how the marks were achieved.
  • For correct answers, candidates are given one mark
  • For the incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted

Normalization of marks

The railway recruitment board is preparing for Sarkari result RRB NTPC for Phase 1-6. But, the result of all phases will be released in one go. This way the result shall be released once the 7th phase exam is conducted. Aspirants from Phase 1-6 may have to hold until the next stage is over.

Stages of RRB NTPC result 2021

The result of RRB NTPC will be declared in the following stages:

RRB NTPC CBT 1 Result

  • It is more like a qualifier.

  • This stage comprises three sections, General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning.

  • The total mark of the exam is 100.

  • The normalized score of CBT 1 is used to shortlist candidates for CBT 2 as per their merit.

RRB NTPC CBT 2 Result

  • Candidates 20 times the number of category-wise vacancies are selected for this stage based on the performance in the first stage.

  • The score of candidates for this stage is calculated out of 120 marks.

  • Candidates need to secure the qualifying marks to qualify at this stage.

  • Candidates qualifying this stage will be shortlisted for document verification, Typing Skill Test/Computer-based Aptitude Test

RRB NTPC CBAT Result

  • Candidates eight times the number of vacancies of Station Master (SM)/Traffic Assistant (TA) for each of the communities i.e. UR, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and EWS (including ExSM) will be shortlisted for this stage based on the performance in CBT 2.

  • The test comprises several test batteries and candidates need to qualify for each test battery.

  • Candidates need to secure a minimum score of 42 marks in each test battery to qualify.

  • The minimum qualifying marks are applicable irrespective of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen.

  • The merit list of SM/TA is drawn from among the candidates qualifying the CBAT by giving 70% weightage to CBT 2 and 30 percent weightage in CBAT.

RRB NTPC Result for Typing Skill Test (TST)

  • For the posts of Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper, Typing Skill Test (TST) is conducted.

  • This stage is qualifying in nature and marks obtained in this test are not added for preparing the merit list.

  • Candidates eight times the number of vacancies are called for this stage based on their performance in CBT 2.

RRB NTPC Result for Document Verification

  • Based on the performance in CBT 2 only and performance in both CBT 2 and CBAT/TST (as per the posts), candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification.

  • In addition, candidates equal to 50 percent of the number of vacancies for various posts are called for document verification.

  • The appointment of candidates is subject to clearing the Medical Fitness Test.

RRB NTPC Final Result

  • RRB NTPC final result is announced based on the performance in CBT 1, CBT 2, CBAT and/or Typing Skill Test and/or Aptitude Test (wherever applicable).

  • Candidates are also required to qualify for the document verification process and medical test.

  • Select the respective RRB Region.
