  • Visit the Official Portal of UIDAI https://uidai.gov.in or https://resident.uidai.gov.in.

  • It takes the online user to the Home Page.

  • Click on the My Aadhaar Section in the Menu bar.

How to raise a request using a Registered Mobile Number?

  • Please visit https://uidai.gov.in or https://resident.uidai.gov.in

  • Click on “Order Aadhaar Card” Service. 

  • Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar Number (UID) or 16 digits Virtual Identification Number (VID) or 28 digits Enrollment ID. 

  • Enter the security code

  • If you have TOTP, choose the option “I have TOTP '' by clicking on the check box else Click on the “Request OTP” button.

  • Enter OTP/OTP received on registered mobile number.

  • Click on the check box against “Terms and Conditions”. (Note: Click on the hyperlink to see details).

  • Click on the “Submit” Button to complete OTP/TOTP verification.

  • On the next screen, a preview of the Aadhaar details will appear for verification by the resident before placing the order for reprint.

  • Click on “Make payment”. You will be redirected to the Payment Gateway page with payment options as Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, and UPI.

  • After successful payment, a receipt will be generated having a digital signature that can be downloaded by a resident in PDF format. The resident will also get the Service Request Number via SMS.

How is an Aadhaar PVC Card different from an Aadhaar Letter?

  • An aadhaar letter is a laminated paper-based document issued to the residents after enrolment and update. 
  • Aadhaar Card is a durable and easy-to-carry PVC card with security features.  All forms of Aadhaar (Aadhaar, mAadhaar, Aadhaar letter, Aadhaar card) are equally valid.  The resident has the choice to use any of these forms of Aadhaar issued by UIDAI.
  • How many days will it take to receive an “Aadhaar PVC Card” after creating a successful request?
  • After receiving an order for Aadhaar PVC Card from the resident UIDAI  handovers printed Aadhaar Card to DoP within 5 working days (excluding the date of request). How to order an ATM-like Aadhaar card?

Steps you can follow to order an ATM-like Aadhaar card online.

Step 1: First, open any browser and visit UIDAI's website (uidai.gov.in or resident.uidai.gov.in).

Step 2: Next, select My Aadhaar, under the Get Aadhaar section, select the Order Aadhaar PVC Card option. 

Step 3: On the new page, enter your 12 digit Aadhaar Number/ 16 digit Virtual ID/ 28 digit EID and Security Code.

 

Note: However, if your mobile number is not registered, then select the 'My Mobile number is not registered' option.

Step 4: Next, enter registered/non-registered mobile numbers.

Step 5: Next, click on Send OTP; you will receive the code on the registered mobile number.

Step 6: Enter the 6 digit OTP you received on your registered mobile number.

Step 7: Next, check the terms and conditions and click Submit.

Step 8: On the new screen, verify all your Aadhaar details.

Step 9: Next, select the Make payment option and pay the required amount.

Once your payment is done, you will receive the new Aadhaar card by Speed Post. As per the official website, "Due to Covid-19 pandemic, delivery of Aadhaar PVC Cards through Speed Post may be delayed as per the guidelines of the Department of Post from time to time."
