  • Visit the Official Portal of UIDAI https://uidai.gov.in or https://resident.uidai.gov.in.

  • It takes the online user to the Home Page.

  • Click on the My Aadhaar Section in the Menu bar.

How is an Aadhaar PVC Card different from an Aadhaar Letter?

  • An aadhaar letter is a laminated paper-based document issued to the residents after enrolment and update. 
  • Aadhaar Card is a durable and easy-to-carry PVC card with security features.  All forms of Aadhaar (Aadhaar, mAadhaar, Aadhaar letter, Aadhaar card) are equally valid.  The resident has the choice to use any of these forms of Aadhaar issued by UIDAI.

How to order an ATM-like Aadhaar card?

Steps you can follow to order an ATM-like Aadhaar card online.

Step 1: First, open any browser and visit UIDAI's website (uidai.gov.in or resident.uidai.gov.in).

Step 2: Next, select My Aadhaar, under the Get Aadhaar section, select the Order Aadhaar PVC Card option. 

Step 3: On the new page, enter your 12 digit Aadhaar Number/ 16 digit Virtual ID/ 28 digit EID and Security Code.

 

Note: However, if your mobile number is not registered, then select the 'My Mobile number is not registered' option.

Step 4: Next, enter registered/non-registered mobile numbers.

Step 5: Next, click on Send OTP; you will receive the code on the registered mobile number.

Step 6: Enter the 6 digit OTP you received on your registered mobile number.

Step 7: Next, check the terms and conditions and click Submit.

Step 8: On the new screen, verify all your Aadhaar details.

Step 9: Next, select the Make payment option and pay the required amount.

Once your payment is done, you will receive the new Aadhaar card by Speed Post. As per the official website, "Due to Covid-19 pandemic, delivery of Aadhaar PVC Cards through Speed Post may be delayed as per the guidelines of the Department of Post from time to time."
